sponsorship of PASCV has been postponed until next year. This decision was made due to the
economic crisis Argentina is currently facing. I hope the situation improves in the near future. At
present, both research and clinical laboratories are having difficulties due to the devaluation of the
peso and the resultant increase in the cost of
reagents. In spite of the serious situation, I am still
working hard trying to strengthen the ties between Latin American virologists and PASCV.
